The cooperative (co-op) model provides a singularly unique learning environment for both children and parents. It gives children a lively, creative, and social place to learn that also meets their physical and intellectual needs. Through education and in-class experience, parents are given the opportunity to talk freely about parenting practices and make lasting community connections.
The goal of the parent participation component of our co-op program is to provide parents with information and instruction relevant to the raising of young children, including human development, family and classroom management, nutrition, and other topics of interest
to our community. To this end, parents enrolled in the co-op program: Work in the classroom, Help with our annual fundraiser, Hold one school community job, and Work one 3-hour maintenance day per school year. |
