HCNS teachers hold California Teaching Credentials and have over 20 years of experience working with children and their parents.
Director & Teacher
Teacher Lyn is our beloved Director and Pre-K/Enrichment Teacher!
Lyn has been a Sonoma County resident and actively involved in Early Childhood Education for the past thirty+ years. She has a diploma in Early Childhood Education obtained in England and continued her education at SRJC. Lyn is continually surprised and amazed at the wonderful characters she meets each year whilst working with Preschoolers and their families, and loves the unique opportunity to work actively in the Co-op community.
Kayla grew up in wonderful Healdsburg and attended HCNS as a preschooler. She volunteered and substituted throughout the 2017-2018 school year before taking a teaching position. Kayla graduated from Sacramento State University with a degree in Child Development and also comes to us with 8 years of experience working with children of all ages through the Parks and Recreation program with the City of Healdsburg.
Lauren Norgeot has been teaching and performing in schools and home care settings throughout the west coast for ten years. After studying Ethnomusicology at Humboldt State University and Early Childhood Development at the College of the Redwoods, she moved to the Bay Area to raise children closer to family. She loves sharing her deep love for music in many languages with her daughters, and making up silly songs while they tend to the garden.
Teacher Michel is our newest member to HCNS. After raising two daughters she took a part-time job as an assistant preschool teacher and found her new passion. She earned her Early Childhood Teacher Certificate at the Santa Rosa Junior College and is now in her eleventh year of teaching and enjoying every moment of it. When Michel is not teaching she enjoys reading, doing arts and crafts, refinishing furniture, caring for their animals, and traveling with her family. Michel lives in Windsor, with her firefighter husband, two teenage daughters, three dogs, a bunnies, a horse and her leopard tortoise.
